Adam Faux is a Composer, Singer and Songwriter, Producer and Sound Engineer based in Toronto, and is represented by CCS Rights Management.
His debut album was recorded in 1987 as a member of the indie band Pigfarm. Pigfarm Charted # 34 in the U.S. and top 10 continuously on college radio in the 80’s and 90’s. In I992 Adam signed his first publishing deal with Peermusic world wide, and later produced 2 top 40 country hits in Canada for “Mike Lynch”. He produced, recorded and played on Kyp Harness’s The Floating World and All her Love, and recorded and mixed the Gemini Award winning film The Film Club and the award-winning documentary The Jews of India.
Most recently, Adam produced, mixed co-wrote and played on the 2014 debut release, Brooklyn Doran’s There’s a Light On, which was nominated for a Toronto Music Award for ”Best Contemporary Album”. Many of the songs featured in the 2015 feature movie, The Cocksure Lads, were mixed and edited by Adam in 2010.
Production, recording and mix credits include working with musicians such as Ron Sexsmith, Jerry Leger, The Balconies, Jane Bunnett, The Heartbroken, Tim Bovaconti, the Beijing Opera, and Dan Mangan. During the past 10 years, Adam has done sound for over 3000 shows, including, Steve Poltz, Xui Xui, Yoko Ono, Alysha Brillinger, Jessica Stewart, Maylee Tod, and The Toronto Tabla Ensemble.
As a performer, Adam has shared the stage with performers such as The Barenaked Ladies, Randy Bachman, Big Sugar, Mary Margaret O’Hara, Jim Carol and Blair Packham. His Videos have rotated on Much Music, CTV, and CBC and been the focus of the Dini Petty Show(CTV), Swinging On a Star (CBC radio), Much Music’s The Wedge, and CBC’s Ear to The Ground.
Adam’s co writes include, 3 full length commercial releases with Garage Baby, 2 full lengths with The Lost Dakotas, and 100’s of professional recording performances on guitar, piano, bass, percussion, and vocals. He has 2 self-titled full-length commercial releases, and 2 full lengths as primary writer with Pigfarm.
Presently, Adam is an MA student (music composition) at York University in Toronto, and leader of the band, The Luck Factory.
