For some of us songwriters, the best way to get moving on a new song is to “answer the call”.  Whether that means writing for an artist, or for a sync placement, or for your band’s next album, “the call” sets boundaries for your next song in a way that can be an inspiring kick in the pants (though there will be no actual kicking).

In 2023 we started putting out calls for new songs and scheduling get-togethers in which we listen to the songs written to “answer the call”.  This is a songwriting exercise, not necessarily access to a market opportunity, but wherever possible we will incorporate our artist/industry friends into these exercises when we know they are seeking new songs.

We are not offering critiques for these songs.  We want to help jumpstart your songwriting and give you a place to share your new song.
